Featuring Capt. Briggles and the elusive Card, chatting about gaming culture, events and the latest in all things gaming.

Our roving reporter Monty B headed over the new Otaku Zoku shop in Cathays, Cardiff to glean insight and opinion from the shop's proud owners, Russell and Hayden.

This show was a creepy horror special! Myself (n00j) Briggy and Monty talked about the Japanese culture of horror: from ghosts of the past to the films, manga, anime and games of the present.
We also had our usual selection of dubious facts, stupidity and general tom-foolery plus some awesome tunes too!

Welcome to UKotaku/Capture the Frag’s first article on this issue. Over the next few weeks/months I shall be discussing the pros and cons of Digital Distribution services and Retail services in terms of gaming. This article will kick us off by discussing an event that happened to me today which sums up a major pro and con for retail.

As any avid podcast listener will know, I love games, I love them more than a lot of things, as much as my immediate family even; and so when one of my favorite developers (Valve) release a sequel to one of my favorite games (Left 4 Dead), well kids, you should know I'm going to be first in line for some of that zombie goodness.

This show was an RPG through the ages special. We talk at great length (for over two hours in fact) about everything from the dawn of the RPG era to present day and from East to West too.
Plus Briggy gave us a super in depth review of Dragon Age: Origins and we had our usual mix of awesome, quirky music and of course some down right silliness.

This show Briggle, Monty and myself (n00j) talked about training wheel series; manga, anime and movies that we would recommend as a taster of Japanese media.
This topic really got us going and we talked at great length about essential anime, manga and movies we would recommend to our non-taku pals. We, of course, had a few disagreements and played some awesome tunes along the way.
We also covered the latest anime, manga, gaming and tech news plus I reviewed District 9 and threw in a few other bits and pieces too!

This show was a super special report on the ALcon happening at this year's event. Myself (n00j), Briggy and Monty invited a whole load of people to chat with us including staff, gophers and attendees.
We hope that this show will be fun for those that attended and a call to all our no attending listeners to get themselves to ALcon next year, or pop down to AL Club London and see what all the fuss is about for yourselves.
Due to the clusterfucky nature of having so many ppl on Skype audio quality is a little lower than usual, with some glitchy bits (but hey, that's better than itchy tits!)
