We recorded this weeks show at the CME offices, and I promised a link so here we go: http://www.cme.org.uk/

Yuko Otacast Show 3: It Came From Japan by UKotaku
36:53 minutes (50.67 MB)
| It Came From Japan |
This show has taken along time to produce as we (myself and Jade) have been moving in to our new house. Now we are settled and are ready to bring you more otaku flavoured goodness from the heart of the UKotaku.
This week we had a fairly short show. Due to no internets at the new UKotaku HQ (should be installed next week) we had not Skype-ins or Podsafe Music for your listening pleasure.
Yuko Otacast Show 4: Gender Issues by UKotaku
76:56 minutes (105.66 MB)
We finally managed to get show 4 online. And we think this ones a good 'un! We talked a bit about undubbing and alot about Mika Nakashima. We also discussed some news about gaming, tech, UK anime releases, stabbings (thanks Matt) and a load of other interesting stuff too. Plus some awesome new Japanese tunes from the pod safe music network.

Yuko Otacast Show 5: Jade's Sekushi Miyavi Special by UKotaku
79:36 minutes (109.33 MB)
Another show for you! Matt is away in America right now so he was sadly absent from the show, however Jade, Louise and myself filled the void with our usual blend on nonsense and the occasional fact.
Jade gave us her extended report on the recent Miyavi concert in London and I talked a little bit about the upcoming game release Mirror's Edge, amongst other things. Thanks to Louise being present this show also saw the welcome return of "Weeaboo Word of the Week".
We also launched the first official UKotaku Competion: The UKotaku Pika Pika Competition.
Yuko Otacast Show 6: MATT'S BACK! by UKotaku
97:25 minutes (133.81 MB)
Show 6 sees the triumphant return of Matt after his mighty American conquest, he speaks a bit about his amazing journey into the heart of the new world. We also had Jade and Louise with us to discuss anime and other otaku related stuffs. Darlo was supposed to join us but was unfortunately cut short by noisy children and left us before we had a chance to speak with him. I chatted a little about my new website (http://ukotaku.net/rokaru) and we also launched our brand new karaoke competition!
UKotaku is currently running two, yes two, glorious competitions!
Comp 1: The UKotaku Pika Pika Drawing Comp
Yuko Otacast Show 7: Just The Two Of Us by UKotaku

Yuko Otacast Show 8: The Morning After... by UKotaku
52:06 minutes (71.55 MB)
This show featured n00j (John), Girutaku (Jade) and sum0 (Matt) in a state of some confusion due to extensive drinking the night before and lack of sleep. Never the less we manged to produce just under an hour of otaku style jibber jabber for you. Jade even managed to sing some Karaoke for us at the end!

93:53 minutes (128.94 MB)
No girls around for this show so myself (n00j) and Matt (Sum0) took the opportunity to talk about the important stuff: hentai, sexy video games, fap toys and computers. We also briefly mentioned some things that were not directly related to masturbation, sorry.
As usual we played our eclectic mix of Japanese music to break up the drivel.
Needless to say this show is NSFW!

Ok, so here it is my lovely people, the ALcon 2008 special. A big thanks to Yuura and Raynn for joining us on this show! And of course a massive thanks to all those who staffed and attended ALcon 08, thus making it the awesomeness that it was.
We also talked a bit about music, games and other stuff too. As always we broke up our drivel with the top picks of Japanese hotness from the Podsafe music network.
Also, Lucy is lovely...

UKotaku - Yuko Otacast Show 11: The Internets
98:25 minutes (90.11 MB)
This show we talked at great length about the internet, from our first experiences to present day. We felt this was a subject dear to all of hearts and enjoyed a trip down the memory super highway (ahahah, getit?).
Myself, Girutaku and Sum0 were joined this week by super special guest Briggy from the MGAC podcast.
We also suffered some stuttering problems with the audio, this will be fixed next time, so don't worry if it skips, your iPod is not broken!

79:35 minutes (72.87 MB)
EDIT: After a disagreement regarding this shows content some of the file has been modified. My apologies for the brief period in which the show was unavailable while the new version was uploaded.
This is another Jadetastical Musicaloid Speshiru. This time Jade talks about going to London to see Plastic Tree and the recent "Taste of Chaos" gig in Norwich featuring MUCC. We also managed to drag Sum0 out of bed for long enough to speak to us and got Briggy of MGAC involved again too.
As always we had our usual mix of Japanese music plus a little bit of American music too!

We are back! After a long break and some serious changes UKotaku is back with "Season 2" and whole new era of podcasting for your listening pleasure. We have now joined forces with the mighty MGAC to bring you a whole new angle of otaku flavoured goodness. This week myself (n00j) and Briggy chatted a bit about where the show will go from here, a little about anime, gaming and our new super secret podcast project.
Sorry about the quality, Briggy is a bit low in the mix and my mic sucks right now, but due to geography we are having to record our podcasts over Skype and I am not quite used to the recording software yet, I promise next show will be up to our usual standard of audio perfection (well as much as Skype can provide anyway)
As always we played some interesting music for you too!

UKotaku - UKotaku S2 E2: Xmasu 2008
94:17 minutes (86.32 MB)
We had some trouble uploading this file, sorry to anyone who listened to the quarter of a file that got uploaded originally, this is now the full show...
Series 2 Xmasu Special! We talked about our expected / known xmasu gifts, packed in two whole in-depth anime reviews and talked at great length about Fallout 3.
We also introduced out newest member of the ota-crew; Monty. This probably female welsh-taku astounded us with the size of her ota-brain providing in-depth insight into anime and general otaness. Monty we salute you!
And as always we played a selection of Japanese new-music, not forgetting a cheesey xmasu number of course!

UKotaku - Series 2 Ep 3: Captain Briggles Ahoy!
64:29 minutes (59.04 MB)
This episode I left the good ship Yuko in the capable hand of Captain Briggles who a good hours worth of meandering otaku based chit-chat. The show was harder to edit than usual (thanks guys) and plagued by some very odd technical difficulties, that will teach me to skive off...
The guys (and gals) chatted alot about games and a little about manga and anime too, plus we broke the chatter with our usual choice pick of the PSMN.
UKotaku - Series 2 Ep 4: Bleeping Beta
51:47 minutes (47.41 MB)
This show we (n00j, Briggy and Zune) talked about Wintereenmas (the gaming holiday) and of course the games we shall be playing during it. We also chatted a bit about movies, anime remakes, other general geekery and of course ALcon 2009. We also played a couple of tasty tunes from the PSMN.

68:07 minutes (93.55 MB)
Just n00j and Captain Briggles this week but just because we are short on staff doesn't mean we are short on content.
We chatted at great length about ALcon 2009, Elfen Lied (cos it's bloody brilliant), the Monkey Island remake and about lots of other cheeky geeky stuffs. Plus our usual round up of the latest anime releases, game releases and some great music and other chit chat too.
Warning! This podcast contains excessive use of the word "poo."
Enjoy!

UKotaku back once again with some ill behaviour from myself (n00j), Monty and Captain Briggles. We talked this show about oh so many things, including Fallout 3, Harry Potter, iPhones, Banksy and of course our usual array of anime, manga and other Japanese flavoured goodies. Plus Briggy has managed to get his sweaty mits on Batman: Arkham Asylum and gives us the low down on this much anticipated game.

84:24 minutes (115.91 MB)
This show is special for oh so many reasons! And not just cos of our usual "special" cast, we had a brand new member in the form of Thom Sweeting!
Plus this is the last podcast before our live show at ALcon and marks the official running out of Japanese podsafe music, seeing us move into the realms of some excellent British and American bands.
Not only that but this show is the first show since the new UKotaku website design and we talk about that too! Wow, so much special in just one download...
Don't worry about all this change though; we still have out usual mix of anime, manga, gaming and general geek-chat interspersed with nonsense and music for your listening pleasure.
UKotaku - S2 E9: ALcon 09 Special
67:06 minutes (92.15 MB)
This show was a super special report on the ALcon happening at this year's event. Myself (n00j), Briggy and Monty invited a whole load of people to chat with us including staff, gophers and attendees.
We hope that this show will be fun for those that attended and a call to all our no attending listeners to get themselves to ALcon next year, or pop down to AL Club London and see what all the fuss is about for yourselves.
Due to the clusterfucky nature of having so many ppl on Skype audio quality is a little lower than usual, with some glitchy bits (but hey, that's better than itchy tits!)

This show Briggle, Monty and myself (n00j) talked about training wheel series; manga, anime and movies that we would recommend as a taster of Japanese media.
This topic really got us going and we talked at great length about essential anime, manga and movies we would recommend to our non-taku pals. We, of course, had a few disagreements and played some awesome tunes along the way.
We also covered the latest anime, manga, gaming and tech news plus I reviewed District 9 and threw in a few other bits and pieces too!

Plus Briggy gave us a super in depth review of Dragon Age: Origins and we had our usual mix of awesome, quirky music and of course some down right silliness.

00:29:44 minutes (27.23 MB)
Our roving reporter Monty B headed over the new Otaku Zoku shop in Cathays, Cardiff to glean insight and opinion from the shop's proud owners, Russell and Hayden.
And behold! This is not just a shameless plug but 30 minutes of our usual brilliant level of anime based chatter from Monty and the new boys on the block, and ok maybe a little bit of shamless pluggery, enjoy!
Check out Otaku Zoku online or in store!
UKotaku - S2 E13: Massive Effects
1:24:00 minutes (115.19 MB)
We talked this week about Kyoto animation, mostly Lucky Star, Haruhi, and the beauty of Aya Hirano.
As well as that Briggy gave us his first impressions of the new Bioware Epic: Mass Effect 2.
Plus we had some of our usual silly banter, great tunes and some hilarious iPad jokes too!
