UKotaku - S2 E13: Massive Effects

1:24:00 minutes (115.19 MB)

We talked this week about Kyoto animation, mostly Lucky Star, Haruhi, and the beauty of Aya Hirano.
As well as that Briggy gave us his first impressions of the new Bioware Epic: Mass Effect 2.
Plus we had some of our usual silly banter, great tunes and some hilarious iPad jokes too!

UKotaku - S2 E12: Horrible Horrifying Horror

1:52:30 minutes (154.28 MB)

This show was a creepy horror special! Myself (n00j) Briggy and Monty talked about the Japanese culture of horror: from ghosts of the past to the films, manga, anime and games of the present.
We also had our usual selection of dubious facts, stupidity and general tom-foolery plus some awesome tunes too!

UKotaku - S2 E10: Introtaku

1:45:44 minutes (145.22 MB)

This show Briggle, Monty and myself (n00j) talked about training wheel series; manga, anime and movies that we would recommend as a taster of Japanese media.
This topic really got us going and we talked at great length about essential anime, manga and movies we would recommend to our non-taku pals. We, of course, had a few disagreements and played some awesome tunes along the way.
We also covered the latest anime, manga, gaming and tech news plus I reviewed District 9 and threw in a few other bits and pieces too!

UKotaku - S2 E9: ALcon 09 Special

67:06 minutes (92.15 MB)

This show was a super special report on the ALcon happening at this year's event. Myself (n00j), Briggy and Monty invited a whole load of people to chat with us including staff, gophers and attendees.
We hope that this show will be fun for those that attended and a call to all our no attending listeners to get themselves to ALcon next year, or pop down to AL Club London and see what all the fuss is about for yourselves.
Due to the clusterfucky nature of having so many ppl on Skype audio quality is a little lower than usual, with some glitchy bits (but hey, that's better than itchy tits!)

Thanks to Kanada, The Failed Ninja, Mex, Tsunade and Yukito for joining us!

UKotaku - S2 E8: Filling the Void (and no, that is not a euphemism)

84:24 minutes (115.91 MB)

This show is special for oh so many reasons! And not just cos of our usual "special" cast, we had a brand new member in the form of Thom Sweeting!
Plus this is the last podcast before our live show at ALcon and marks the official running out of Japanese podsafe music, seeing us move into the realms of some excellent British and American bands.
Not only that but this show is the first show since the new UKotaku website design and we talk about that too! Wow, so much special in just one download...
Don't worry about all this change though; we still have out usual mix of anime, manga, gaming and general geek-chat interspersed with nonsense and music for your listening pleasure.
